Dr. Ofer was one of the first surgeons in Connecticut to utilize the da Vinci surgical system to bring his patients the safest, most advanced surgical technology in the world.  The da Vinci Robot enables complicated procedures to be done through several dime-size incisions.  Robotic instruments inserted through these incisions have greater maneuverability and precision than the human hand.  Dr. Ofer controls these instruments while viewing the surgical field through a magnified, three-dimensional, high-definition video system.   Smaller incisions and more precision translates into safer surgery with quicker recovery for Dr. Ofer’s patients.   Dr. Ofer currently uses the da Vinci Robot for a variety of gynecologic procedures, including hysterectomy, myomectomy, and sacrocolpopexy procedures.
